1Gov*Net ONLINE FACILITY FOR PhIS & CPS PROJECT

PhIS & CPS projects using online internet 1Gov*Net supplied entirely by the Malaysian government to those facilities involved. 1Gov*Net online helps the PhIS & CPS applications run more efficiently and safely. 1Gov*Net online is a Government Integrated Telecommunications Network that is managed centrally and provides a platform to enable access to electronic government applications, government agency internal applications or Intranet and access to the Internet. 1 Gov*Net is provided to ministries, departments or agencies of the Federal Government and Federal Statutory Body.

TYPES OF BANDWIDTH SPEED

Some degree of speed capacity (bandwidth speed) provided by 1Gov*Net is different based on the needs of each facility. This depends on several factors such as the level of internet used in the facility, the facility location and the condition of cable internet infrastructure in the region. Among the 'bandwidth speed' which is installed at the facilities involved are as follows:

1GOV*NET NETWORK SECURITY

1Gov*Net Network is designed with physical and logical security features detailed below:

1. Physically Dedicated Network

Securely developed using dedicated IP node for the Government.

2. Virtual Separation Using MPLS Technology

This enables reliable and secure IP communications.

3. Secured Connection To The Internet Through Managed Internet Gateway (MIG)

Security devices block unauthorised access or attack from the Internet. Traffic from the Internet are monitored to detect malicious or abnormal traffic patterns.

4. Centrally Managed and Monitored

Management and monitoring conducted centrally at Network Operation Centre (NOC) operating twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week.
